A free demo of Stellaris Nexus will appear in the Steam Next Fest starting on June 19, and will launch in Early Access this year. Designed to be completed in about 60 minutes, Stellaris Nexus allows players to explore the universe, forge alliances, or conquer the galaxy with their friends.

The policies of espionage are especially horrendous, with one of the only good combinations being Espionage Aristocratic, which isn't an ideal set of ideas for most nations. Corruption redux could stand to be raised to as it comes from a time in the game when corruption was less commonplace. Claim fabrication redux, and embargo efficiency need to be either buffed significantly, or have a new modifier tagged on to make up for what they lack. The AE is great, but doesn't make up for the next two slots which are honestly dead weight. If I'm in a prolonged war with an enemy, an event to hire an assassin (or a *ninja* if a daimyo in japan) to kill an enemy general or ruler for a hefty lump sum of ducats would be an interesting and welcome dynamic that is EU4.ģ.) I believe the base ideas of Espionage are slightly underpowered or "bad" when the stats are compared to other idea groups. If my heir plots to kill me as if oft to happen as the Ottomans, I believe that espionage should enable special paths.

When it comes to espionage, it could use more events that feel impactful and meaningful. National Banks paying in dividends (economic ideas), Foreigners laugh at our troops (quantity), etc. Most ideas have flavor/rote-themed events associated with them.

This point could be made for Naval Ideas too, but I digress. This would in essence allow early access to the benefits of "infiltrate administration", which I rarely see used since it's blocked behind diplo tech 30-its a rarely used mechanic but is tactically actually quite useful.Ģ.) Better events with espionage as their theme. I've rarely taken them or felt the need to consider my enemy having it, and I recommend three changes to remedy this.ġ.) Add a bonus ambition bonus to finishing the espionage group, that grants free fog of war against enemies you declare war on for 2 1/2 years. Greetings Paradox TInto and fellow EU4 gamers, as someone who has played 5,000+ hours, I find Espionage Ideas quite niche and not good enough currently.
